What we do?
"IEDEDU" is the new training center in the Basque region and is located in the center of Barcelona. In addition to focusing on student, child and youth work, another integral part of the center is the community center area. It is also a teacher, adult and youth education center.
A transfer of certain premises is also possible and is regulated separately by a transfer and use regulation.
Who are The Key Persons:
Şükrü Aygül is a Turkish teacher. At the same time, he completed his university master's degree in Spain and gained the right to European Union citizenship after living in Spain for 10 years. In addition to his activities, our director, who speaks 4 languages, has been active in Erasmus+ projects hosted by Barcelona since 2022.
The community
There is also a separately accessible meeting and training hall in the central area, as well as a communication and guest reception area in the form of a cafe. The community center area is available for use by various clubs and initiatives in the area.
For example, planned high-level work in the socio-cultural centre, e.g. B. Coffee or other (intergenerational) refreshments for seniors in the community center area. Clubs related to the fight against climate change and water awareness can use all kinds of opportunities in our center. The Industrial and Social History Society will also use the group room in the community center area as a place for extracurricular and informal learning, presenting proposals primarily in the mornings throughout the week.
Undijital Cafe
As part of the fight against phone and internet addiction (digital policy), we have a seating area and training area that do not allow access to electronic devices. Our goal is to ensure that people everywhere in the digital world remember the true connection in real life.
Kitchen
The spacious kitchen is attached to the children's and youth cafe. This not only offers the possibility of preparing small snacks, which can be purchased at reasonable prices as part of the gastronomic offer of the youth cafe, but also encourages participation due to its open design. Cooking courses with special topics such as sports nutrition are conceivable here.
Playground
The outdoor space, also known as the "playground" in the modern sense, is an integral part of IEDEDU's educational concept and offers a wide variety of design and usage options. In addition to being a multi-purpose playground for children, teenagers and especially adults, the "Playground" also offers visitors the opportunity to relax. It complements a planned cultural promotion concept by the sea, which includes beach volleyball, beach football and other outdoor sports, as well as a BBQ area and an area for an outdoor stage.
A mobile stage can be set up here for concerts and other cultural events, so that outdoor events can also be held in the "playground" if the weather is suitable.
Vocational Workroom
The use of the workroom is ideal for small work and repairs. The room is equipped with four small and two large workbenches. It is also possible to offer repair workshops on the premises. Here children and young people learn how to use different materials and tools under supervision.
Music room
We have a music room in our center. Students who come to our place where various instruments are available can have a good time and enjoy fun activities either solo or as a group.
